There are many interesting rules that are particular to no No limit Poker. First of all, the number of raises allowed for any round of betting is limitless. Next, all bets made have to be as high or higher than the minimum bring in. The only exception to this is when you go all in with your chips. When it comes to raising, all raises have to be as great as or higher than the prior bet for that round, besides in the case of an all in bet. Players who have called or checked already can not then raise the all in wager that turns out to be lower than the size of the last raise or bet.
There are other technical rules to No Limit Poker. Wagers are not official till the chips reach the pot. When there are differences between the pot amount and a player’s statement given, the bet has to be adjusted to the statement. Similarly, when calls are short because of errors in counting, the amount has to be corrected. Bettors are not required to show their hands until the amount in the pot is verified.
An optional straddle is permitted in non tournament versions of No Limit Poker. To do a straddle, the player has to be to the immediate left of the big blind. This person will have to put in a sum that is twice as high as the big blind. This person who does the straddle is given final action in the first betting round and is permitted to raise as well.
In every No Limit Poker game, the poker room maintains the right to put a maximum limit of time on decision making on your hand and that of the other players. Most poker rooms choose to do this to keep the game moving along at a brisk pace. If you do not make your decision by the time the clock runs down, then your hand may be pronounced dead.
